Chad Smith has been named executive chef at Jacksonville’s Schoolhaus, overseeing the kitchen and the Bigham Knoll campus catering department. Smith, most recently of Larks in Medford, began his career in Bend under the tutelage of restaurateur David Touvelle of CHOW. In 2006 he joined Elements Tapas in Medford as executive chef. He later worked at Chateaulin in Ashland.
Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc., has hired Michelle Manion to manage events and partnership development. Manion has more than 25 years of sales and relationship building experience with Mary Kay Cosmetics. For the past 16 years, Manion was a senior sales director, performing in the top 1 percent of a 3.5 million person sales force. She is tasked with venue coordination, project management and sponsor liaison responsibilities for events such as SOREDI’s annual meetings, Southern Oregon business conferences, manufacturers’ summits, industry tours and technology symposiums.
Rogue Credit Union has named Dan Barry information technology support and infrastructure vice president. He has led IT departments for Harry & David, 1-800-Flowers, and most recently was IT systems director for Rogue Community Health.
Rogue Credit Union has named Kelli Cox branch manager of its downtown Ashland office. Cox has more than 28 years of leadership and previous credit union experience, most recently serving as a branch manager for Northwest Community Credit Union.
Eric Eisenberg, director of dining services at Rogue Valley Manor, has been named to the Association for Healthcare Foodservice board. Eisenberg has been active in AHF and its legacy organizations since 2004. Earlier, Eisenberg served as president of the AHF Washington Chapter and has long been a champion for the annual Culinary Competition.
