Klamath Falls window and door maker Jeld-Wen has named Philip Orsino president. Orsino has been an executive of Onex Corp., a Canadian company that owns a medical-imaging plant in White City.

Rod Wendt, who has been the company's chief executive and president since 1992, will remain as CEO. Orsino was president and CEO of Masonite International until 2005.

After co-founding Century Door in 1983, Orsino led the company through a 1989 merger with Premdor, followed by the 2001 acquisition of Masonite Corp. from International Paper. Orsino built a company that generated $2.5 billion in sales in 18 countries.

He serves on the boards of Tomkins Building Products Inc., RSI Home Products Inc., Clairvest Inc. and the Bank of Montreal, where he is chairman of the audit committee.

Alaska Air Group announced Yvonne Daverin has been named vice president of maintenance and engineering at Horizon, where she will oversee the carrier's fleet of 48 Bombardier Q400 aircraft. Horizon is one of four commercial airlines flying to Medford.
