Lithia Motors has appointed former Ford Motor Credit Co. North America President A.J. Wagner to its board. Wagner also was a Ford Motor Co. vice president from 2003 to 2006.

Wagner worked his way up through Ford during a career going back to 1973.

He was in marketing and sales for four years.

He earned a master's in business administration from the University of Detroit and a bachelor's of science degree in finance at the University of Wisconsin.

He received the 2006 Philip E. Benton Award from the Minority Dealer Association of 350 dealers for fostering diversity and taking support for minority dealers to a new level.

He sits on the Walter Industries Board and Audit Committee. Recently Wagner joined the Gold Mobile Group Advisory Board.

He is the chief executive of AJ Wagner & Associates, a business consulting organization.

Wagner fills a vacancy left when William J. Young resigned on July 11, citing health reasons.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon has added three members to its board.

The new directors are: Rich Hieb, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, PremierWest Bancorp; Gloria Schell, regional president for Southern Oregon and Northern California, US Bank; and Don Skundrick, director of material sales, Southern Oregon Division, Knife River Corp.

Former PremierWest Bank marketing director Jim Essany has joined Home Federal Bank as vice president and marketing director.

Essany is a graduate of the Bank Marketing Association's Advanced Strategic Marketing School at University of Georgia and the American Bankers Association National Personnel School at the University of Maryland.

Bernard Colpitts has been promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of Harry & David Holdings, succeeding Shannon A. Bell, who plans to spend more time with her family.

She has agreed to provide consulting services during a three-month transition period.

Since joining Harry & David in 2006, Colpitts has been director of financial reporting and accounting.

Before joining Harry & David, Colpitts was the corporate controller and director of SEC reporting for ON Semiconductor Corp. from 2000 through 2006.

He previously worked for Arthur Andersen LLP as a senior auditor.
