Bob Vaughn, president and chief operating officer of LTM Inc., and Southern Oregon Region president for Knife River Corp. retired Jan. 15.

Mike Crennen, assistant president of Knife River's Southern Oregon Region Office and president of LTM, has been named to succeed Vaughn.

Vaughn's career spanned 33 years with LTM and its predecessor, Tru-Mix Construction Co. He started with Tru-Mix in 1974 as an estimator and in 1996 was named senior vice president and chief operating officer. In 2001, he was named president. Under Vaughn's leadership, LTM has grown from a Medford-based construction materials and contracting business to a regional business and has nearly tripled its revenue.

Crennen joined LTM in February 2001 as general manager of Roseburg operations. In 2002, he was named vice president and in January 2005 he assumed the additional responsibility for LTM's coast operations.

Prior to joining LTM, he spent a combined 15 years with Kiewit Pacific Co. and Hensel Phelps Construction Co. Crennen holds a civil engineering degree from Stanford University, a master's degree in civil and structural engineering from Montana State University and a master's of business administration from the University of Washington.

Optometrist Steven P. Mullins has moved his practice to the new Wal-Mart Vision Center at 11500 Hannon Road in Eagle Point.

Mullins has practiced in Medford for the past 11 years and was formerly with Champion Optical. Mullins is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry and maintained a private practice in Southern California for 12 years before relocating to Medford in 1996. Chuck Butler of Butler Ford in Ashland has been nominated for Ford Motor Co.'s 2008 Salute To Dealers award.

Chosen from a field of more than 6,000 dealerships across the United States and Canada, Butler is one of 65 Ford dealers to receive the honor based on efforts to create a lasting and positive impact in his community. The automaker established the dealer award program in 2001.


Lyonne "Buck" Brokofsky earned the Oregon Trucker Associations' Safety Management Council Driver of the Month Award.

The Central Point resident has worked for FV Martin Trucking since 1977, logging in excess of 3 million miles without an accident, traffic violation or lost-time accident.

Brokofsky often works with new log truck drivers and his truck is immaculately maintained.

He was honored during an SMC meeting in Clackamas earlier this week.


Hire Calling Staffing Solutions has promoted Kristi Ralls to senior branch manager.

In addition to her previous duties overseeing the staffing service's Medford branch, Ralls will take over supervision of Hire Calling's Grants Pass location. The agency has provided temporary, temp-to-hire and direct placement employees for more than 30 years.


Grants Pass resident Valeri Osterson is now a consultant for Baby Splendor, a home party plan company providing products for infants and toddlers.
