Medford lunch hangout Deli Down has changed hands for the second time in 16 months.

Shawn and Jo An Peters have acquired the deli on the lower level of Main Street Market at 406 E. Main St., from Shenanigan's proprietor Bruce Brown. Brown bought Deli Down from founding brothers Dan and Andy La Fond in the fall of 2010. The La Fonds ran the business for 25 years.

Shawn Peters managed the establishment for the 16 months leading up to this month's transaction. He has been in the industry for 25 years and was the chef for the Garden Cafe in Ukiah, Calif.

"We want to let people know Deli Down is family-owned and operated again," Jo An Peters said. "People have been receptive to us and we're starting to see a lot of old customers."

The deli's long-time pasta bar and soups from scratch remain regular features, while catering remains integral to the business, accounting for half of the revenue.

Deli Down has a six-person staff and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The email is delidown@hotmail.com, and the telephone number is 541-772-4520. It can be found on Facebook at Deli Down.

AAXIS Group, a strategic technology consulting firm delivering enterprise level services via e-commerce, will open a downtown Medford office in the Historic Sparta Building in February.

Century City, Calif.-based AAXIS Group was founded in 1998 and has three other California locations as well as Chengdu, China. Mike Eastman is the local manager. The firm has leased 35 percent of the executive offices in the building, located on the northeast corner of East Main Street and Riverside Avenue. The building has been going through an historically inspired renovation this past year, a century after it was first built in 1911.

Property manager Scott Henselman said 6,000 square feet of ground floor area remains available and can be divided.
