Pacific Retirement Services is adding another retirement community and another state to its lineup.

The Medford-based parent company of the Rogue Valley Manor announced the purchase of Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida, a continuing care retirement community in Fort Myers, Fla.

The boards of PRS and Lee Healthcare Resources approved the transfer and the transaction is expected to be completed within 120 days. Both PRS and Cypress Cove are private, not-for-profit organizations. This is the second community to be acquired by PRS in the past two months since it added its Memphis, Tenn., office.

The 47-acre Cypress Cove campus has 470 residences and is located in the master planned community of HealthPark, Fla.


Therapeutic Associates — Grants Pass Physical Therapy is opening a 6,000-square-foot clinic at the Doctors Court near Three Rivers Community Hospital, which will feature a 10 by 16 foot warm-water therapeutic pool on the second floor.

The clinic is set to open in early April. The practice has operated at 849 N.E. Seventh St.


The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County will conduct a membership drive April 1-3 involving 250 volunteers from throughout our region.

"Member Madness" will be held at The Mail Tribune, 111 N. Fir St., starting at 8:28 a.m. April 1.

Among Fortune magazine's 2007 "100 Best Companies to Work For," 94 companies are members of their local chamber, including the top 24. Atlanta-based Schapiro Group found that consumers are 63 percent more likely to buy products from chamber members than non-members.

The Chamber is a private, nonprofit corporation and member-only supported organization of small, medium, and large businesses that advocates for business and member issues in local, state and national government, in addition to other services.
