Wine tasting benefits Children's Advocacy Center

A free tasting event at the Harry & David Country Village this weekend will benefit the Children's Advocacy Center in Medford.

From 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 1, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 2, wines will be paired with local cheeses. On Saturday, wines also will be paired with chocolates, kids' activities will be available and visitors can have their picture taken with Jack the Therapy Dog from noon to 2 p.m. Harry & David Country Village is at 1314 Center Drive, Medford.

A raffle with prizes including a Harry & David gift basket and Cowhorn winery tour will be held to benefit the Children's Advocacy Center, which serves more than 800 child and teen survivors of abuse each year. Services include interviews with legal officials in a safe, nurturing setting; specialized medical exams; therapy; mentoring groups; and supportive services for non-offending family members.
