Two vehicles stolen from car repair shop

Police are still on the hunt for two cars, automotive tools and cash stolen from an automobile repair business between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

Medford police said someone broke into American Auto, 943 Summit Ave., and stole more than $25,000 worth of cash and tools, including a large amount of Snap-on wrenches, ratchets and other automotive tools, and Modis and Autel MaxiDAS diagnostic machines.

The thieves also took a pickup truck and an SUV, one belonging to the business owner, the other to a customer.

The vehicles taken were a black 1991 Chevrolet Suburban, lifted with 38-inch tires, bearing the Oregon license plate 647CUC, and a 2000 Ford F-150, black with a gray bottom stripe, Oregon license plate ZGW521.
