Travel cutbacks less here

The Medford and Grants Pass areas are faring well despite recessionary hits in travel, a new report from the regon Lodging Association indicates.

Revenue for May declined just 3.5 percent from 2008, while other parts of Oregon saw up to 20 percent declines, the group said.

The report showed room revenue declined 5.7 percent compared with other areas in the state falling up to nearly 19 percent.
