Tiptoe through the wildflowers

Head across hilltops and meadows with a wildflower expert today during a wildflower walk on Mount Ashland.

The walk, for participants 12 and older, is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walkers should meet at the parking lot at the mountain's ski area. Cost is $10.

Jim Duncan of the Siskiyou chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon will lead the walk, which will visit several sites. Duncan will help participants identify native wildflowers. Walkers should bring sturdy shoes, drinking water and a lunch.
