The garden’s the thing

Work on your garden or see how others work on theirs today in two events planned in and around Medford.

The Medford Rose Society is offering garden tours at four addresses — two cottage gardens and two rose gardens — from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market is planning its second annual spring planting sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway. Admission is free, and market sellers will have annuals, perennials, veggie starts and garden crafts available.

The gardens on the rose society tour are at 2924 Hillcrest Road, Medford; 2681 Eastover Terrace, Medford; 425 Modoc Ave., Medford; and 2368 Terri Drive (east on Fern Valley Road, left on Payne Road, right on Terri Drive).

A $3 admission fee covers admission to all four gardens for adults, and children under 13 get in free.
