Talk politics at SOU lecture

Take a sharp detour from Halloween fun tonight to hear a Southern Oregon University professor talk about the role of the media in the outcome of the Democratic presidential primary.

Susan Walsh, who teaches gender, communication and media courses at the university, speaks at 4 p.m. in the Meese Meeting Room on the third floor of SOU's Hannon Library, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd. The talk is free and open to the public.

Walsh will talk about the media's portrayals of Hillary Rodham Clinton and discuss findings from a study about gender constructions in political cartoons.
