Take in a film and a big talk

A psychologist will use the French film "Ponette," the story of a child coping with her mother's death, in a talk this afternoon about spirituality, religion and the search for meaning on the big screen.

Maria Grace, a psychologist and and pastoral intern at the Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, presents the film at 12:30 p.m. at the church at 1800 E. Jackson St., Medford. The event is free, and people interested in attending can come at noon and take part in a light lunch for $5.

Today's screening and talk are part of a series by Grace, who has used "Babette's Feast," "Bruce Almighty" and "The Big Kahuna" to talk about spirituality and religion.
