Storm-related power outages persist

Strong wind gusts earlier today knocked out power to homes in Jacksonville and Phoenix, according to Pacific Power officials.

The storm wrecked havoc beginning today at 8 a.m. when winds knocked trees into power lines near Jacksonville. This darkened about 900 homes until around 2 p.m.

Currently, power crews are working to restore service to around 137 homes along North Pacific Highway near Phoenix.

The Phoenix outage was reported at around 12:35 p.m. Crews hope to have power returned to the homes by 5 p.m.
