Stevens gains induction into collegiate Hall of Fame

Local report

Former St. Mary's High boys basketball standout Jamie Stevens was recently honored by Montana State-Billings University with his induction to the school's Hall of Fame.

Stevens, who was a starting guard for the Yellowjackets from 1994-99, still owns school records for assists in a single game (16) and in a career (805). His overall total nearly doubles the next closest mark.

During his time at Montana State-Billings, Stevens led the Yellowjackets to two conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances, including a regional championship berth.

Stevens was one of six athletes inducted by the school last Friday.
