State seeks input on projects

The state Department of Transportation is looking for the public's thoughts on dozens of projects around Oregon that could be paid for with federal money.

The state has about $16 million in Transportation Enhancement money available for the projects and faces requests for about $92 million of work.

The deadline to comment on the list of 85 proposals is Jan. 28. People can comment online at or can request a copy of the survey by mail by calling (503) 986-3528.

In Central Point, add sidewalks, landscaping and bike lanes to Pine Street, $1.49 million.

In Eagle Point, make pedestrian and bicycling improvements to South Shasta Avenue, $710,000.

Near Central Point, extend the Bear Creek Greenway between Pine Street and Upton Road, $1.525 million.

In Jackson County, reconstruct sections of the Bear Creek Greenway, $1.264 million.

In Medford, landscape and light the Bear Creek Greenway, $254,858.

In Shady Cove, add sidewalks to Rogue River Drive and Cleveland Street, $1.38 million.

In Talent, add sidewalks and bike lanes to Rapp Road and Creel Road, $1.39 million.
