Soroptimists collect baby supplies

The public is invited to help support low-income mothers by donating new basic infant supplies for a community baby shower sponsored by three local Soroptimist Clubs.

Drop-off points for new baby items include the north and south Medford Fred Meyer stores and the Central Point Albertsons. Supplies needed include baby wipes, disposable diapers, bottles, formula, pacifiers, bath towels, wash clothes, sleepers, blankets, crib sheets, baby clothing and toys. Cash donations also are accepted.

The baby shower will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5. Partnering agencies include the Community Health Center, Community Works, Dunn House, La Clinica's Healthy Start program, the Family Nurturing Center, Maslow Project and the Department of Human Services.
