Singer and songwriter's story takes the stage

Camelot Theatre shines its spotlight on Barry Manilow.

"Spotlight on Barry Manilow" opens at 8 tonight and runs Thursdays through Saturdays with matinees at 2 on Sundays, Sept. 26 through Oct. 6.

Kurt Howard Bernhardt, a former Oregon Shakespeare Festival company member, will sing 23 of Manilow's songs and Shirley Patton, a longtime member of OSF, will tell the story of the shy young music lover who grew into the showman of a generation.

Tickets cost $18 for tonight's preview and $24 for all other performances. Tickets are available at the theater box office and or by calling 541-535-5250.
