Sheriff's office receives prank bomb threat

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department received a bomb threat via phone just after 9 this morning, but officers have since cleared the building and everyone is back inside.

"We have gone through the entire building in through the different areas. We believe it was a prank call," said sheriff's spokeswoman Andrea Carlson.

It took around 20 minutes to clear the building at 787 W. Eighth St., Medford. Police are still conducting an investigation on tracking the phone call back to its source.
