Seattle's defense stymies Wranglers

The Rogue Valley Wranglers couldn't find their offensive rhythm against a formidable Seattle defense, which defeated the Wranglers 5-1 on Friday at The RRRink.

The Wranglers (0-5) yielded three power play goals and allowed two late goals.

"We struggled with the breakout tonight," said Wranglers coach Brad Ouldhouse. "We worked on it all week. I thought that would be one of our stronger points. Seattle has a great defense and were coached well tonight. They just had our number."

D.J. Giguere slapped home Rogue Valley's lone goal on an unassisted surge, and goalie Nick Cafrelli had a busy night in goal, denying 61 of Seattle's 66 shots.

The Wranglers will face off against the Totems again today at 8:05 p.m. at The RRRink.
