The Rev. Joy-Anne Huth's sermon, "Travel Life's Highway," will be delivered at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 29, at the Center for Spiritual Living in the Scottish Rite Center, 3581 Lear Way, Medford.

Following the service will be a presentation of the spiritual documentary "I Am" from noon to 2 p.m.

Huth will begin her evening meditation and discussion series "Creating Money Meditations and Attracting Abundance" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, May 2 through June 20.

The Havurah synagogue will host a free bagel and lox "Tish 'N' Nosh" brunch with Rabbi David Zaslow at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Havurah, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The event is based on an old Hassidic tradition of sitting around the rabbi's table for a teaching and a small meal. Zaslow will discuss the 50-day period between Passover and Shavuot. The Spiritual Care Department at Rogue Valley Medical Center will offer a free one-day workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, for people interested in becoming a volunteer chaplain. The workshop will cover all phases of this public ministry, including ministering to the sick in a hospital setting, spiritual and cultural diversity, understanding the victim of trauma or illness and compassionate listening.
