Actor Karen Douglas will perform a reading of a letter about Christ's crucifixion, said to have been written by the wife of Pontius Pilate, the man who condemned Jesus to death. The Havurah is now taking reservations for their annual Passover Seder at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the synagogue, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Rabbi Sue Morningstar, Cyrise Beatty Schachter, Devorah Zaslow and Mia Shoshana Cohen will lead the Havurah's Annual Women's Passover Potluck Seder at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the Havurah synagogue, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The Women's Seder, which does not follow the traditional format, will look at the four stages of labor and birth and how they relate to the story of liberation. The event is a celebration infused with music, chanting and teachings. The cost is $20 per person; $10 for women under 18 plus a potluck dish.
