Providence offers autism help

Providence Swindells Resource Center of Southern Oregon presents two free informational workshops for parents and caregivers of children with autism.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, Mari Martinen, regional autism consultant with Southern Oregon Education Service District, will talk about strategies and activities to help children with autism transition from school to summer vacation and back to school again in the fall. The presentation is in Mary Norbert Hall at Providence Medford Medical Center.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, she will talk about behavior management techniques and other strategies to use with children with autism to help with challenging behaviors. The presentation is at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave.
