Police seek man who robbed Medford Burger King

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Medford fast-food restaurant at gunpoint just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees of Burger King at the corner of Riverside Avenue and Barnett Road told police a man entered the restaurant and then left about 10 minutes later.

He returned, approached the counter and gave an employee a note demanding money. The man then placed a gun on the counter, police said. He took cash offered by the clerk and left the restaurant heading west on Barnett, police said.

He is described as white and in his early 20s, about 5-foot-7 and with a slender build and a "scruffy" beard. He was wearing a black zippered hooded top with "Volcom" written in white on the front.

Police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information to call the poice department at 770-4784.
