Police release sketch of suspect in Talent attack

TALENT — Police released a sketch of a man believed to have attacked a woman inside her Talent mobile home Wednesday morning.

The attack took place at a home in the Shady Brook Mobile Home Park at 236 Talent Ave.

The woman left her home at around 7:30 a.m. to take her child to the bus stop. When she returned she heard a noise in a rear bedroom and then a man appeared and attacked her, said Talent Police Chief Mike Moran.

The man was last seen running through an empty lot on the north side of the complex.

The woman described her attacker as a Hispanic man, about 28 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build, short dark hair, no facial hair and a pockmarked face. The suspect left behind a "ZeroXposur" brand black ski coat with gray highlights. Officers found a gray pin-striped shirt inside the pocket of the coat, police said.

During the assault, the victim received minor injuries that did not require medical attention, police said.

Moran said officers planned to go door to door at the mobile home park Thursday to show residents the sketch. The composite drawing was done by Medford police sketch artist Chuck Steinberg.

"We hope someone recognizes him," Moran said.

Anyone with information on a possible suspect is asked to contact the Talent Police Department at 541-776-7206.
