Police release photos of man suspected in PremierWest robbery

Medford police have released photos of a suspected robber fleeing from a PremierWest Bank branch in southeast Medford last week.

A robber, thought to be wearing a wig and fake beard and mustache, went into the bank at 2600 E. Barnett Road shortly before noon on Sept. 14 and handed a teller a note demanding cash. He left with an undisclosed amount of money, then got on a bike and rode across the Black Oak Village shopping center lot.

Surveillance photos released today show the man on the bike and show a large Dodge pickup also associated with him, police said.

A police dog tracked the robber to Mud Creek, which flows behind the shopping center. The bike was found there, police said.

The truck seen in the security camera photos is a newer tan Dodge four-wheel-drive pickup with an extended cab and a long bed. It has orange running lights on the roof.

Medford police are working with the FBI and other police agencies and suspect that the robber has also hit banks in Northern California.
