Police looking for suspect in attack at Talent home

Talent police are searching for a man who reportedly attacked a woman inside her home this morning.

The attack took place at a home in the Shady Brook Mobile Homes Park at 236 Talent Ave.

The woman left her home at around 7:30 a.m. to escort her child to the bus stop. When she returned she heard a noise in a rear bedroom. Suddenly a man appeared and attacked the woman, Talent police said in a news release.

The man attempted to choke the woman and punched her several times. The woman fought him off, causing him to flee the scene.

The man was last seen running through an empty lot on the north side of the complex.

The suspect is a Hispanic man, about 28 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build, short dark hair, no facial hair and a pock-marked face. The suspect left behind a "ZeroXposur" brand black ski coat with grey highlights. Officers found a grey pin-striped shirt inside the pocket of the coat, police said.

During the assault, the victim received minor injuries that did not require medical attention, police said.

Anyone with information on a possible suspect is asked to contact the Talent Police Department at 541-776-7206
