People's Bank of Commerce has promoted Steve Young to vice president and manager of its commercial lending division.

Young has nearly 30 years of banking and commercial lending experience. He previously was vice president and a commercial loan officer for People's Bank.

Prior to that, Young was vice president and branch credit administrator for PremierWest Bank. He has served as a course trainer for the Western School of Commercial Lending sponsored by the Oregon Bankers Association and Risk Management Association, providing classes in financial statement analysis, construction loan management, asset-based lending and 360-degree negotiating skills.

A Southern Oregon native, Young began his career as a consumer loan interviewer for Timberline Community Bank in Yreka, Calif. He moved back to Oregon in 1995.


Keller Williams Southern Oregon has added several agents to its staff.

The team of Brian Luzny, Ellie George and Cheryl Faria come from RE/MAX Realty Group. Luzny has been licensed since 1999 and George has been licensed since 2005. Both are life members of the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors Million Dollar Club and have backgrounds in bank-owned properties. Faria has been licensed since 1998, previously licensed in California and is a buyers' agent.

Don Dixon and Patrick Havens also formerly were with RE/MAX Realty Group. Dixon has been licensed since 2004 and Havens since 1998.

Donna Jones comes from the Real Estate Center, has been licensed since 1983 and is a life member of the Million Dollar Club.

Lorraine Arnold comes from Windermere Van Vleet and has been doing real estate in the Rogue Valley since 2004.

Ron Galbreath comes from John L. Scott Southern Oregon, has been licensed since 1992 and is a life member of the Million Dollar Club. Patty Davis moved from John L. Scott and has been licensed since 2004. The husband and wife team of Larry Whisman and Diane Whisman also comes from John L. Scott. The couple have been licensed in Oregon since 1989 and previously were licensed in California. Yvonne Fox comes from John L. Scott and has been licensed since 2002. She specializes in commercial real estate. Lynn Wroblewski previously was at John L. Scott, and has been a licensed agent since 1988.

Rob Neff joined from Reed and Hamlin and has been licensed since 2005.

Amy Alvarez came over from RE/MAX Realty Group and specializes in transaction coordination.


Geoff Donaldson of Central Point has been named a financial representative for Country Financial.

He can provide clients with auto, home, life and long-term care insurance, annuities, mutual funds and college education funding options. He also can offer investment management, retirement planning and trust services provided by Country Trust Bank.
