Timber Products Co. has appointed Roger Rutan as vice president for sales and marketing.
Rutan, an industry veteran who joined Timber Products 12 years ago, previously served as vice president for marketing and business development. He has been the company's main liaison on many environmental initiatives, ranging from forestlands, certification programs, product development and customer education. In his new role, he will oversee the company's sales force in addition to marketing.
Rutan holds a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. He is on the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association board and is involved with the American Forest and Paper Association's Green Building Coalition. Rutan serves on the California Forest Products Commission. He formerly served as chairman of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Marketing Committee.
KAS & Associates Inc. has promoted Christina Elseth, who recently became a licensed professional engineer. Elseth graduated from Grants Pass High School in 2000 and earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Oregon State University in 2004. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, International Code Council and the American Institute of Steel Construction. The firm also announced the retirement of Jay R. Robinson after 12 years as an engineering technician.
