Open your heart to empathy

Kagyu Sukha Choling, Ashland's center for the practice and study of Tibetan Buddhism presents a free public talk on methods of developing empathy. Buddhists consider empathy a way to opens the door of the heart, enabling people to participate in the reality of others' experience. It is the basis for acting in communities with compassion, joy, and equanimity.

The presentation is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ashland library's Gresham Room at 410 Siskiyou Blvd. For information, call the center at 552-1769.
