The public is invited to join the Friends of Jacksonville's Historic Cemetery, the Boosters, Masonic Lodge and other community volunteers in a cleanup of the Jacksonville cemetery grounds from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 1.

Volunteers should meet at the sexton's tool house at the top of the Cemetery Road and bring gloves, rakes, pruners, gas blowers, weed whackers and a brush or broom.

Coffee, morning refreshments and bottled water will be provided.

The Rogue Gallery & Art Center will host the "Spirit in Hand" Holiday Boutique from Nov. 11 through Dec. 23. This is a juried show and sale of one-of-a-kind, handmade gift items, such as textiles, pottery, ceramics, glass, metal, woodwork, jewelry and more. Small framed artwork also will be considered.
