In conjunction with Meth Watch, the Mail Tribune compiles weekly statistics to demonstrate the effects of methamphetamine on our community.
- Arrests — Eight people were arrested last week and lodged in the Jackson County Jail for possessing meth, representing 26 percent of the county's total felony arrests for the week.
- Court appearances — Four people appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court last week on indictments charging them with possessing meth, representing 28 percent of the week's total felony arraignments for defendants not in jail. One defendant's indictment included other criminal charges.
- Addiction recovery — Thirteen meth addicts entered treatment last week, and 13 completed treatment at OnTrack Inc. One meth addict was admitted to inpatient treatment, and three completed treatment last week at Addictions Recovery Center.
