Mentoring organization honored

The Rose Circle Mentoring Network was recently named a High-Quality Program of Oregon Mentors. This is the first distinction of its kind granted to an organization in the Rogue Valley.

To earn this honor, mentoring program staff members voluntarily participate in a thorough assessment of mentoring services and components essential to building organizational sustainability. Then staff members get intensive training and technical assistance from Oregon Mentors' staff to ensure the program uses up-to-date, research-driven practices.

"We are grateful for the coaching and support we've received from Oregon Mentors that has helped us achieve this 'gold-standard' status," Ellen Craine, The Rose Circle Mentoring Network's executive director, said in a prepared statement. "We look forward to providing top-quality mentoring to more Southern Oregon youth in the future. We're also grateful to all our volunteer mentors who facilitate teen circles or mentor individual youth."

The Rose Circle Mentoring Network is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides mentorship opportunities for adults and adolescents in Jackson County.
