Medford man arrested for delivery and manufacture of meth

A Medford man was arrested this morning after a two-month investigation by the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team.

MADGE officers assisted by the Medford Police Department executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Western Avenue in Medford and found multiple ounces of methamphetamine, scales and packaging, according to a press release.

Officers arrested Michael Angelo Cyrus, 27, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine with in 1,000 feet of a school and first-degree child neglect. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail on $1.02 million bail.

Cyrus' girlfriend also was in the residence at the time of the search with their 2-month-old child. The Department of Human Services was advised and responded to the scene.

MADGE is a multi-jurisdictional drug and gang task force supported by the Oregon High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program, Medford Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Jackson County District Attorney's Office and Jackson County Community Justice.
