Man with drug charges held on $1 million bail

A man with what police are calling a "substantial" amount of methamphetamine in his home was arrested on drug charges Friday and is held in lieu of $1 million bail, police say.

The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement division arrested 48-year-old Kevin Haney at his 218 1/2 W. Jackson St. residence in Medford, less than 1,000 feet of Jackson Elementary School and McLoughlin Middle School. Police also seized $600 in cash from the residence.

Haney has an arraignment schedueled for 1:45 p.m. today.
