Man who died in wreck was from Gold Hill

The name of a Gold Hill man killed in a wreck early Monday morning has been released by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Kevin V. Dosty, 39, died after he lost control of a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass while driving southbound on Lampman Road shortly after 4 a.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Marty Clark said. The car rolled, ejecting Dosty and pinning him to the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Passenger Joana Arlaine Henson, 29, of the first block of Fredenburg Street, Gold Hill, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
