Man arrested for public indecency outside store

A 50-year-old Medford man was arrested Sunday on charges of public indecency and felony probation and parole violations after an employee noticed him masturbating on a bench in front of Target at Crater Lake Highway in Medford, police said.

It's unclear whether customers observed Raymond Larue Grove, who had partially pulled down his pants for the occasion. But Grove was eyeing female customers as they entered the store around 10:45 a.m., said Medford police Detective Brent Mak. Loss-prevention officers from Target captured the man in the act on surveillance.

Grove pulled up his pants when a Medford police officer approached him. He was arrested and lodged in Jackson County Jail Sunday without bail.

He was on parole for first-degree theft and probation for methamphetamine possession.
