Mail Tribune is second Oregon paper to create its own Pinterest page

If you are staying indoors this holiday weekend playing on the Internet, check out the Mail Tribune's new Pinterest page.

Pinterest is a social-networking site that lets users organize and share things they find on the Web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes and organize their favorite recipes.

The Mail Tribune is only the second Oregon newspaper to have a Pinterest page. The Oregonian is the other.

Go to to see the newspaper's pins on boards such as food, wine, farmers markets, healthy living, outdoors, pets, Rogue Valley homes, and holiday events and ideas.

Browsing pinboards is an increasingly popular way people discover new ideas and get inspiration from people with similar interests, so the Mail Tribune joined to help connect to readers in a new way and share the resources it publishes in the newspaper's lifestyle sections and magazines.

Pinterest started offering business accounts on Nov. 13.

Research firm ComScore says Pinterest had 26.7 million unique visitors in October, up from 3.3 million in October 2011.
