Ashland technology pioneers will be featured at Southern Oregon University's Digital Innovators Conference from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, in the Rogue River Room of the SOU Stevenson Union, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.

The event, hosted by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce and Southern Oregon University's Center for Emerging Media and Digital Art, will feature businesses such as Angel Investment Network award-winner Montrue Technologies, Blackstone Audio, NeoPower Corp., Plexis Health Care Systems, Project A and Tree Star.

Gynecologist Dr. Nicole Brooks and fellowship-trained urogynecologist Dr. Timothy Hutchings will present "This Isn't Your Mother's Hysterectomy" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., Medford.

Brooks and Hutchings will discuss robotic surgery and other advanced treatment choices for female-specific health problems, and a question-and-answer period will follow the talk. For more information or to register, call 541-732-6237.

Friends of the Gold Hill Library will hold its "Gold Mine of a Book Sale" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 1, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the community meeting room of the Gold Hill Branch Library, 202 Dardanelles St.
