Ashland ScienceWorks will feature several hands-on activities on Jan. 28 and 29 to show the science behind fire and ice.
The exhibits will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Admission is $5 for children ages 2 through 12 and senior citizens 65 and older and $7.50 for teenagers and adults.
Activities such as dry ice bubbles, ice cube painting and flame testing will be available. A fire and ice show will be presented at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the facility's theater.

The Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force will host a free class on Internet safety for parents and children from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, 3101 McLoughlin Drive, Medford. The class will cover a variety of Internet safety topics, including chat rooms, online gaming, social networking, virtual worlds and avatars, sexual predators and parental involvement. Children must be 12 or older to attend.
