ACCESS Senior Fair, an all-day resource fair sponsored by Medical Eye Center, takesplace from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway.

The event includes more than 80 vendor booths from health care organizations and other resources for seniors and families.

Admission is by a suggested donation of $1 or one can of nonperishable food that will go to support ACCESS programs for local seniors.

The fair will include free bingo with local celebrity callers and prizes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, will meet Friday, March 4, to plan for International Women's Day, which is set for Tuesday, March 8, and to begin planning for a Hiroshima/Nagasaki event to take place in August.

The meeting is at 1 p.m. in the Gresham Room of the Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. All are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call 541-488-9286.

The Crater Lake Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at the LDS Church, 2900 Juanipero, Medford.

Jane Henzel Buck, state regent of the Oregon State Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will attend.

Three local Soroptimist Clubs are joining to sponsor a "community baby shower" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5. The public is invited to help support low-income new mothers and new mothers coming out of domestic violence situations by donating basic infant supplies.

Drop-off points for new baby items include the north and south Fred Meyer stores in Medford and the Albertsons in Central Point.

Needed supplies include baby wipes, disposable diapers, bottles, formula, pacifiers, bath towels, wash cloths, sleepers, blankets, crib sheets, baby clothing and toys. Cash donations also will be accepted.

The North Medford High School Choir Department is hosting an indoor yard sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5.

The multifamily sale will be held in the high school cafeteria at 1900 N. Keene Way Drive.

All money raised will be used to help choir students with things such as class trips, new concert attire, festival registration and accompanist fees.

Four Eagle Point alpaca ranches will host open houses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 5.

Participants will be able to see both types of alpacas, Huacaya and Suri, in a wide range of colors — from pets to show-winners.

Participating ranches are Andresen Acres, 924 Linn Road; Anchor Ranch Alpacas, 815 Mountain View Dr.; and Suri Haven Alpacas, 5040 Butte Falls Highway.

In addition, Alpacas of the Blue Aurora will show animals at the Andresen ranch.
