Ljubicic to face Tsonga in final of Moselle Open

METZ, France — Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia served 26 aces Saturday to edge Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5) , advancing to the Moselle Open final against top-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.

Tsonga beat Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine 6-4, 6-4.

Muller set the tone by reeling off four aces in the opening game. But Ljubicic regrouped and rallied from 3-2 down in the tiebreaker to take the first set.

Muller finished with 18 aces but could not handle Ljubicic's serve.

In the second semifinal, Tsonga broke serve at 5-4 in each set, clinching victory when Dolgopolov netted a forehand.
