Latino festival wraps up today

Catch the final day today of Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Festival Latino, a celebration of Hispanic culture.

It has featured several days of events in and around the OSF grounds in Ashland.

Today's include a talk by Edgar Miguel Sanchez, an actor who performs this summer in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Othello," a dance performance by the Rogue Valley's Ballet Folklorico and flamenco music and dance by Grant Ruiz and Terry Lonshore.

All three are free.

Sanchez's talk is at noon in the Bill Patton Garden outside Gate 1 of the Elizabethan theater at 15 S. Pioneer St. The Ballet Folklorico show is at 12:30 p.m. on the Green Show stage outside the Elizabethan theater. The flamenco show is at 7:15 p.m. in the same place.

Also for Festival Latino, today's 10 a.m. backstage tour of the festival will be available in Spanish ($12 admission) and Tere Martinez will perform "When I Was Puerto Rican" at 11 a.m. in the Black Swan theater ($8).
