Labyrinth walk brings in the new year

"Sacred Walk to 2012," the 13th annual community labyrinth walk, will bring in the new year Saturday and Sunday in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main St., Ashland. The walk is free, but donations are welcome.

The labyrinth is open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and reopens at 9 a.m. Sunday. The closing ceremony begins at 6 p.m. For more information, call labyrinth leader Elizabeth Austin at 541-482-4132.

The schedule for live music is as follows:

Saturday

  • 4 p.m. — Opening Ceremony with Elizabeth Austin and Team, followed by harpists Elizabeth Markell and James Excell
  • 7 p.m. — Guitarists Andreas and Rod Galer
  • 8 p.m. — Chant and harmonium with Andy Bayliss
  • 9 p.m. — Vocalist and violinist Heather Hutton
  • 10 p.m. — Richard Raven Williams, instrumentals
  • 11 p.m. — Markell and Excell
  • Midnight — New Year Observance


Sunday

  • 9 a.m. — Labyrinth opens
  • 10 a.m. — Ryk Shaddick, flute
  • 11 a.m. — Ancient Men, vocals
  • Noon — Shaddick and friends
  • 1 p.m. — Meagan Iverson, piano
  • 2 p.m. — Tami and Rose Marston, guitar, vocals
  • 2:30 p.m. — Roma Sprung, violin
  • 3 p.m. — Markell and Excell
  • 4 p.m. — Nancy Bloom, vocals
