KIDS sets free science event

See liquid nitrogen and vortex smoke rings, make polymer balls, launch Alka-Seltzer rockets and create shrinky-dinks — without paying for it, even! — during a Kids and Science Day today at Medford's Kids' Imagination Discovery Space.

The activities are set from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at KIDS at 226 Ross Lane, Medford. Admission to the play space will be waived for the event.

Sceince demonstrations and hands-on workshops will be presented by the Southern Oregon University science club, which helped organize the event.
