Keep learning over spring break

The kids are out of class, but they can have a learning experience at Scienceworks Hands-On Museum.

The museum at 1500 E. Main St., Ashland, offers a variety of tear-round exhibits that help kids explore energy, anatomy, chemistry, perception, motion, engineering and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. A new physics exhibit, Motion Commotion, just opened.

At 1 p.m. a "Cool Science" demonstration experiments with liquid nitrogen to show how materials can change states, shifting from gas to liquid to solid.

Admission to the museum is $7.50, $5 for children ages 2 to 12 and adults older than 65. There are additional fees for some activities.

See or call 541-482-6767 for a schedule of activities.
