Johnson, Warriors get past Klamath

KLAMATH FALLS — Rogue Valley running back Sean Johnson plowed into the endzone from five yards out to give the Warriors a 26-20 victory in over Klamath Falls in overtime at Mazama High School on Saturday night.

Johnson had four carries to set up the touchdown run in the extra period.

The Warriors had a 14-6 lead at the intermission, but the Crusaders answered with two consecutive touchdowns in the third quarter to take a 20-14 lead.

Warriors wide receiver Andrew Tree hauled in a 42-yard TD catch from quarterback Dan Woodward to knot it up at 20-all.

Woodward went 20-for-27 for 365 yards and tossed a 23-yarder to Ryan Lougheed for the opening score of the game.

Josh Kerley had 70 yards and a touchdown on the ground for the Warriors, who received 110 yards on 18 carries from Brad Mejia.

Lougheed had 10 grabs for 180 yards and Tree added eight receptions for 100 yards.

On defense, Jeremy Hull compiled 12 tackles and a sack for Rogue Valley.
