It's a Frightmare on Fir Street

While Halloween brings out the scares, it is also bringing out the food drives to help feed the hungry in Jackson County. Tonight, "A Frightmare on Fir Street" haunted house and dance party will offer $1 discounts to anyone bringing at least one can of food for ACCESS Food Share.

Frightmare on Fir Street, presented by Fir Street Studios, is located at 327 Fir Street in Medford. The haunted house is open from 7 to 10 p.m. The attraction is open to all ages, but children are advised to enter at their parents' discretion.

Saturday will feature an adults-only Halloween costume and dance party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cost to enter is $10 which includes a trip through the haunted house.

All food donated will go to feed the hungry through ACCESS Food Share, which helps ensure that Jackson County's vulnerable senior population and children and families don't go hungry. Last year ACCESS provided over 2.9 million pounds of emergency food (55,000 pounds weekly) to over 22,000 individuals and families in Jackson County.

People can also make a secure financial donation to ACCESS online at Click the "Donate Now" button, then enter "Frightmare" in the dedication field ("on behalf of").
