It's a day for training

The train fans that run Medford's Railroad Park during warmer parts of the year are taking their love of locomotives inside this weekend for the annual Rogue Valley Railroad Show, which wraps up today at the Medford Armory.

The show is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the armory at 1701 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. Tickets are $5 general, $4 for senior and free for train fans 14 and younger.

The show offers model railroad layouts, exhibits, railroad presentations, a swap meet, door prizes, 57 vendors and a raffle for dozens of items.

New this year is a replica of Thomas the Tank Engine and three passenger cars designed by Dale Butler, vice president of the Southern Oregon Live Steamers train club.
