The 34th annual Rod & Custom Show tempts gearheads with cherished cars from a variety of vintages.

The event, hosted by Rogue Valley Street Rods, will benefit local children who have been diagnosed with developmental diseases, and disabilities and are served by the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center of Oregon Health & Science University. Since its genesis in 1978, the show has raised more than $443,000 for CDRC, organizers said.

Today the show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jackson County Fairgrounds and Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point.

Admission is $7 for adults, $2 for ages 7-12, and free for ages 6 and younger. For details, call 408-203-0999
